I tinkered with it a lot in my free time,but i'm wondering what is the safe temperature range,mine runs at 1.25v,3.5ghz,idles at 35-40c and while gaming for hours it gets up to 65c with the wraith stealth,my ambient temperature is really high now though,probably close to 30c at times. Learn about specifications, memory details & other key features! 5800X was thermally the worst Zen 3 CPU. 5800X3D has even worse thermals. Expect straight to 90C for most all-core workloads. There is no comparing to other Ryzen 5000 CPUs (Ryzen 7000 maybe). Water isn't guaranteed to help, especially without a newer block made with these CPUs in mind (Optimus, TechN, Velocity2).The safe Ryzen 3600 temperature range is 40C to 75C or 104F to 203F. They will boost up higher and higher until it bumps into the power, thermal, or frequency limits. Your 5700G has a PPT of 88W, a max boost clock of 4.6 (I think?), and a thermal limit of probably 90 or 95C. I am using a Hyper212 EVO CPU Cooler with Push-Pull Fans on it. Both of those prices are exactly in-line with Intel’s competitive offerings. R7 1700 @ 3.95GHz, 1.425v with 1.425v load, Noctua NH-D15 max fan speed, idle is 27c load in Realbench is 76c, 84c in ycruncher. 60c is highest I've seen gaming. Prime95 small FFT: 55°C quickly, rises to 65°C within 30mins and stays there. Idle: 21.5-26°C depending when was the room last ventilated. The idle temps for the R5 were about 40 degrees Celsius, whereas the R7's idle temps were a concerning 50-55 degrees. This is even more confusing since I upgraded my CPU cooler from the stock Wraith Spire to a Cooler Master fan cooler with a significantly larger heatsink.
